Go Devil II

Go Devil II is a blend of non-ionic polymers which provide low shear rate viscosity (LSVR) in drilling fluid systems. When mixed with fresh water, brines, or formates it becomes a water soluble viscosifier providing hole cleaning, solids suspension, and formation invasion control.

Typical Physical Properties

Form Dry powder
Bulk density, lb/cu ft. Compacted 56, Uncompacted 43
Specific gravity 1.5
pH (1% in water) 9.5
Solubility Completely soluble/dispersible in water

Applications
Go Devil II’
s use results in LSRV Invasion Control properties which promote a low solids, shear thinning fluid with increased rates of penetration. Go Devil II is compatible with most makeup water including brines and formates. It is not generally affected by contaminants such as salts, calcium or magnesium. Days on hole are significantly reduced and significant reductions in overall cost are typically realized. Go Devil II has been used with excellent results in many high angle and horizontal applications.

Go Devil II is recommended in concentrations of 3.5 to 5.0 lb/bbl for optimum performance in most drilling fluid applications. Go Devil II is recommended for use to:

  • Prevent formation invasion and damage
  • Reduce lost circulation
  • Promote borehole stability
  • Eliminate bridges
  • Prevent barite settling and sag
  • Prevent cuttings settling and fill

Go Devil II is readily dispersible and can be added directly to the drilling fluid through a mud hopper.

Limitations
Go Devil II
is an environmentally safe dry powder. See the Material Safety Data Sheet for more detailed information concerning storage, handling, transportation, disposal and safety requirements.

Packaging & Storage
Go Devil II is packaged in a special 25 lb plastic pail designed to protect the product from moisture.
