ActiPac
ActiPac is a blend of stabilizers and synergistic
agents designed to promote aphron stability in in
the HYSSTER
drilling fluid system. When combined with
ActiVis LSR in fresh
water, brines, or formates and upon addition of
the aphron building additives ActiGuard,
Blue Streak, Aphronizer
A, Aphronizer B
and Plastisizer a highly stable aphron fluid results.
The fluid exhibits high Brookfield readings while
minimizing Fann readings in the high shear ranges.
This produces a drilling, workover and completion
fluid with excellent suspension and hole cleaning
properties yet provides low equivalent circulating
densities. It is not effected by most drilling contaminants
and exhibits no excessive gelation. When combined
with ActiVis LSR
it forms the base stabilizing fluid for the HYSSTER system.

Applications
ActiPac’s use provides excellent
aphron stability. Combining the aphron sealing and
stability attributes of enhanced aphrons with the
rheology features of the HYSSTER system enables us to deliver
an ideal drilling, workover and completion fluid
for permeable and micro-fractured zones. The sealing
efficiency, LSRV and low ECD properties make this
a fluid of choice for high angle and horizontal
applications; particularly in areas where tight
drill windows are present.
ActiPac is recommended in concentrations
of 2.0 to 10.0 pounds per barrel for optimum performance
in most drilling fluid applications.
ActiPac is readily dispersible and can be
added directly to the drilling fluid through a mud
hopper.

ActiPac is packaged in a special 50 lb plastic
lined bag designed to protect the product from moisture.
